personality:[/sup] Hisoka is a sweet girl. She is also kind of shy. Hisoka is always dazed and dreamy, and is very forgetful. She's artistic, but clumsy, and tends to run into things. She loves singing, dancing, and the rain. She's forever changing her looks, and goes from blonde to blue to black hair in a few days. She tries to be kind, but doesn't have that much patience. She defends her friends, no matter what. She has a very closely guarded secret. She's more alert than she seems, and is making sure the secret stays as just that- a secret.
past:[/sup] Yuki Otis was a descendent of Japanese immigrants, but his family had lived in Texas for centuries. He attended school with his good friends Jayme Margarita and Frank Livington. A year after grauation, he attended Jayme's wedding, and it was there he met Johannah.
In the city of Dallas, of Swedish descent, a pair of twins named Sarah and Johannah were born to James and Rebecca Johnson. It was a hard and difficult labor, and Rebecca died in childbirth. The mourning James, who blamed the children for his wife’s death, was left with six children and no clue how to raise them. He locked himself in his bedroom, and, except for bathroom breaks, never left the room for the next five years. He left the raising of Sarah, Johannah, and the raising of four-year-old Henry, six-year-old Jessica, and seven-year-old Jacob entirely up to his teenage daughter, Marie.
Marie managed to care and provide for her younger siblings. She dropped out of high school and worked two full time jobs, with a family friend staying with the twins while the other kids had school. The care of the babies and the house was up to Jessica and Jacob the rest of the time. One by one the kids graduated elementary school and the twins grew. By this point, Marie had three jobs and was cooking and caring for the children. But when the twins were four years old, James discovered gambling.
He blew all of the family’s money on it, and there was never enough to go around. After a year of this, Marie could see no alternative for the safety of her siblings, and killed him in his sleep. His life insurance was enough to keep them going for a bit, but she discovered a nasty surprise- he had gambled away the children’s college savings. Working to support them, she made sure her younger siblings stayed in school and studied hard, and they all got into college on scholarship. Except Sarah.
A year after she had started college, Johannah was invited to her twin's wedding. And there she met Yuki.
They wanted to take it slow until she graduated, but she got pregnant, and they had to get married. Yuki and his wife Johannah were dismayed to discover, after the birth of their first daughter, Milo, that Jo was infertile. No amount of surgery could seem to correct the problem, so a friend of Yuki's, Tsukiko, offered to carry the baby for them.
Hisoka was born to Tsukiko but raised by Johannah alongside her older sister, Milo.
When she was thirteen, she told her parents the truth (which is not being revealed until later in the roleplay). There were much tears, and she was cast out. Milo did nothing to stand up to her parents, and for that Hisoka still resents her. Tsukiko was several years dead, so he stayed with his half-sister's cousin, Selene Livington. They were more accepting, and she loves her new family. She calls them several times a week from her new apartment.
example:[/sup] ((This is on a different site, a harry potter site)) Hisoka sat on the banks of the lake, staring skyward. At the turtle. For some reason that made sense to no one, least of all Hisoka herself, she was levitating the turtle. The turtle was curled up inside it's shell. When it stuck its head out, she jumped up for a better look, dropping her wand. Mr. Turtle fell from the sky.... and, when a panicked Hisoka tried to catch it, fell on her head. The disgruntled turtle climbed back to the water, and she sat on the ground, rubbing her head dazedly. Ow.....
