lake travis has always been around and everyone loves to take care of it. twice a year, every year, all of austin gets together and does an underwater and above water clean up that is definatly needed. lake travis is a good place to go boating and maybe speed boat on by hippie hollow and check out the newbies. lake travis is also known for having huge party boat parties. Where people drive on by to one side of the lake and chain their boats together and break out the booze. who knows, you might find an interesting person to chat with!

sixth street. wow. this place is the number one place for a party animal. this strip has the loudest bars and the wildest parties, including the popular halloween party where over ten thousand people take advantage of. while it is still light, it may be alright for children to stroll through, but at night, no one under eighteen should be there, because lets face it, there are going to be all kinds of things flying and popping out, and your child might be scarred for life. enter with caution!

mkay, so have you ever had that feeling when you look over at the side of the road and see those beautiful flowers that just, take your breath away. Well texans get that feeling wherever they look. during the right season, the bluebonnets are just so damn beautiful that you cant help but pull over on the side of the road and take pictures of your loved ones surrounded in pretty flowers. so take out your camera, and just try to capture the moment.

the enchanted rock is a bit lesser known than the other attractions. it is a long, scenic hike along a trail a couple of minutes out of downtown austin. the end of the trail offers an excuisite view that no other can give. and when that sunset hits it, its just magnificent. although the trail has been a bit run down lately, and the owners of the trail are trying to get volunteers to help make it look a bit more.. spiffy and sharp. they are thinking about having a new year clean up that everyone who wants can come to and help out with.

the texas state cemetary is a very well-cared-for and historic grounds that holds the important graves of the famous Stephen F. Austin and the wonderful Barbera Jordan, and many others. people like to come here and enjoy the feeling of being so close to the bodies of some of austins most thankfull-for saviors. although some people like to come here to make sure that their loved ones' graves are well taken care of.

the domain is a outdoor shopping center that was just recently built. it is known for its designer clothing including; coach, betsey johnson, banana republic and more. it also has a large food court and many other food stores scattered around the large area. the domain is also an apartment complex, where the apartments are located above the stores.

manor downs is the number one place where you go if you want to gamble.. well, legally atleast. it is a very large horse track that is the fifth largest in america. if you really want to go gamble your money away safely, then i advice you get a box seat, other wise you might get trampled by drunken angry gamblers. if you want to get in an see the horses, you have to have a pass. this pass is one of the hardest things to get. only five people get one a year. save up your money, and make sure you know the right people, or else theres no way your getting in the barn!

dont let the name fool you, this place is very special. it is a private park that is very hard to reserve. this place is a very funky and unusual park that is some what mystical and something that you would never see before. its a very popular place for rich teens to have big blow outs for, but make sure to make your reservation in advance or else you might not get in!

this river has been specially reserved for toobing or as the locals call it, "Tubing"! you can go to the beginning and rent a tube and go floatin' on the river with a big group and a dozen of coolers, or maybe you would like to be a real lone wolf and slide away from the big group. when big groups go, i caution you that you bring children, there have been some cases where some people have exposed there unmentionables into the public group.

the oasis has been around for a long time. a wee while ago the oasis burnt down from an unfortunate incident with a wild lightning storm and a wrongly placed palm tree. but they didnt let that stop them. they quickly re built and it is now re opened. the oasis is well known for its amazing and creative fusion between sea food and mexican food. a restuarant that you wont want to miss.

even if you arent to fond of country music, you sure will love this honky tonk dance hall. its old time rodeo style makes everyone 'ooo' and 'awe' over it. The ceilings are high and the bar is long, and not to mention the neat looking saloon styled bathrooms that are cleaned twice a day. a great date spot, or if you just want to try out something new on a boring saturday night, you never know, you might find a nice new cowboy/cowgirl friend!

if you want to meet some new and unique people that you probably have never seen before, well then you have come to the right place. the spider room is a small diner like area that almost resembles a small house. you can find old book around and maybe a worn out board game or two. the drinks may be a bit pricy, but they are very good. you can also sit outside!

the biggest ballet company in texas, the ballet austin theatre is where the biggest performances are located. and the studio is where they practice. you do have to audition to be in this company, and later in the year there will be an audition for the roles in the nutcracker performance. so go practice!

the cap club, as they call it, is a fairly new club that is fun to go to when you just feel like chilling and having a laugh. the people there are very friendly and love to make a joke. every wednsday is open mic night, so if you have a few good ones, go on up. even if you arent good at making people laugh, you can still have a laugh and have a few drinks, but not to many i hope!
